Douglas E. Pitchford, M.D.
Douglas Pitchford was born in Jersey City, New Jersey. Where he attended St. Peter’s Preparatory High School. Upon graduating from St. Peter’s Prep he attended Howard University School of Engineering and graduated with a Baccalaureate degree in Chemical Engineering.

Douglas was accepted into the University of Medicine and Dentistry Rutgers Medical School where he received a Doctor of Medicine degree. Dr. Douglas Pitchford, interned at Cabrini Medical Center in New York City followed by a Residency in Anesthesiology at St. Luke’s/Roosevelt Hospital Center.
Dr. Pitchford was accepted into Post-Doctoral Fellowship, in Acute, Chronic and Oncologic Pain Management, at the UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson University Medical School. Upon completion of the Pain Management Fellowship, he was appointed to the faculty at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in 1991.
Dr. Pitchford is a Published author, with articles in the World Congress of Anesthesia and the Journal of Anesthesiology.
He began his private practice career in 1993 and has been a physician member in good standing at Interfaith Medical Center of Brooklyn, NY, Centrastate Medical Center of Freehold, NJ and St. Francis Medical Center of Trenton, NJ, Bayshore Community Hospital of Holmdel, New Jersey, Raritan Bay Medical Center of Perth Amboy and Old Bridge, New Jersey.
Douglas is a Pain Management Physician for North American Spine and Pain Management,P.C.. NASPAC has nine offices in New Jersey, two in Pennsylvania and one in Delaware.
Dr. Pitchford has donated his time as a Administrator/Judge and Host for a New Jersey Statewide Medical Science Competition (Skills USA/NJ Health Occupations Students of America) which is held at County Prep High School in Jersey City New Jersey. He recently has become involved with Dance to Unite a not for profit organization which partners with after school programs , offering free dance classes with an educational component celebrating cultural diversity.
