Cervical Discectomy
What Is Cervical Discectomy?
A cervical discectomy is a surgery that removes a broken disc from the cervical spine to ease pressure on the nerves and spinal cord. When pain, stiffness, and weakness spread from the neck to the shoulders, arms, and hands, this process can help.
- Herniated cervical discs
- Cervical radiculopathy
- Spinal stenosis
- Degenerative disc disease
- Nerve compression syndromes
Precision Pain and Spine Institute’s specialists use the latest surgical techniques to ensure precise and effective treatment.
What to Expect During Cervical Discectomy
The most common cervical discectomy technique uses minimally invasive techniques. To carefully remove the broken disc, the doctor makes a small cut in the front or back of the neck. This allows the nerves to work less hard, and the spine can stay stable.
The surgery is usually done without the patient living in the hospital. After a few weeks, the patient can slowly start doing everyday things again.

- Improved range of motion and function
- Minimally invasive approach with less scarring
